Hastings resident, Albertha H. Carl passed away Friday, October 29, 2010 at the Mary Lanning Memorial Healthcare, Hastings, NE. Services will be Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at 2 PM at the First St. Pauls Lutheran Church Hastings, NE with the Rev. Joel Remmers officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Hastings, NE. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 2, 2010 from 12 noon to 9 PM with the family present from 7 PM to 8 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the First St. Pauls Lutheran Church or the All Saints Chapel, Good Samaritan Society, Hastings-Village. *** Albertha was born August 12, 1916 to Herman and Alice (Trauernicht) Loschen in Leroy, Kansas. The family later moved to Glenvil, NE. She married Everett Benny Carl in 1939; they lived most of their lives in the Hastings area. Benny passed away June 18, 1973. Albertha worked various jobs including Phillips Smart Shoppe, the Hastings Regional Center and the Navel Ammunition Depot all in Hastings, NE. She was a member of the First St. Pauls Lutheran Church, and was an active volunteer there. She was also a member of the Navy Mothers. She is survived by, one daughter, Barbara Hinrichs of Hastings, NE and two sons, Richard Carl and wife Nancy of Melbourne, Florida, and Steven Carl and wife Jackie of Hastings, NE. 11 grandchildren, Scott Hinrichs and wife Cindy of Ayr, NE, Craig Hinrichs and wife Peggy, and Todd Hinrichs and wife Carrie all of Hastings, NE, Steven Swager and wife Holly of AZ, and Mike Swager and John Carl of New Mexico, Linda Cass and husband Patrick and Karen Layne all of Florida, Connie Carl of CO, Carolynn DeByle and husband David of Alaska and Michael Carl of Lincoln, NE, 12 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Benny, six brothers and seven sisters and one son in law Rodney Hinrichs.
