Amy Elizabeth Wolf

Amy E. Wolf, 44, of Grand Island died Friday, December 2, 2016 at her home in Grand Island. Memorial services will be at 10 am on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island with Derek Apfel CFC officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Central Nebraska Humane Society. Apfel Funeral Home is serving the family.

Amy E. Wolf was born on April 8, 1972 in Grand Island, the daughter of John and Linda (Weingarten) Wolf. She grew up in Grand Island and graduated from Grand Island Senior High School in 1990. Amy attended the University of Nebraska Lincoln and was associated with the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. Amy lived in Crete and Valley, Nebraska for a few years where she worked as a Social Worker at nursing homes. She moved to Fremont and finished her College Degree from Midland University. She worked in Fremont as an Adult Protective Service Administrator. Amy moved back to Grand Island and worked at various businesses until her health forced her to stop. Amy was an avid reader and Nebraska football fan. She loved her cats, her cousins and especially the time spent with all her family.

Amy is survived by her parents, John and Linda Wolf of Grand Island, her sister, Jennifer L. Wolf of St. Paul, MN, uncle Doug (Nancy) Weingarten of Wilmette, IL, uncle Thomas E. (Deanna) Wolf of North Bend, NE and aunt Anne (Dr. David) Sabott of Boulder, CO.
