Anita P. Rosch

Hastings resident, Anita P. Rosch, 86, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Perkins Pavilion, Good Samaritan Society, Hastings-Village. Memorial service will be Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 11 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church, Hastings, NE with Rev. Paul Warneke officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Book signing will be Tuesday, March 15, 2011 and Wednesday, March 16, 2011 from 9 AM to 4 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE. Anita was born May 2, 1924 to George and Amanda (Polenske) Scheidies in Kenesaw, NE. She graduated from Hastings High School, Hastings, NE. She worked at the Navel Ammunition Depot where she met her future husband. She married Donald M. Rosch on November 2, 1946 they were married 64 years. Donald and Anita did everything together; they traveled and loved to fish. From 1955 to 1962 she ran Pine Haven Nursing Home in Hastings, NE. She then worked at Mode-O-Day until its closing. Anita loved her family and was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband Donald M., two sons, Donald A. and Steve and wife Joan all of Hastings, NE, four grandchildren, Bryant, Brad, and Jeremiah Rosch, and Jennifer Guthard and husband Doug, and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother Ray Scheidies.
