Ann Renee Smeltzer

Ann Smeltzer, 50, of Aurora, NE passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024 at the Grand Island Regional Hospital. 

Memorial services will be at 11 AM Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island with Rev. Scott Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM on Tuesday, August 13th at Apfel Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation. 

Ann was born on September 2, 1973 in Greenville, PA to Allen “Butch” and Marlene (Youngblood) Smeltzer. She grew up in Garden City, KS and received her education from Garden City High School. She spent the majority of her life in Garden City where she owned and operated Savoy Cattle Processing. She most recently worked as an assistant manager at Goodwill in Garden City. 

She was a member of the Garden City Methodist Church. She loved Bingo, horses and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Timothie (Joely) Harris, and Dezmaund Smeltzer; daughters, AudreyAnna Smeltzer and Roneeka Savoy (Eli Villanueva); six grandchildren; sister, Denise (Anthony) Manning; nieces and nephews, Jacinto Martinez, Lacora, Kylexa and Montay Manning; numerous cousins and friends.
