Arlene Ellen Hyde

Hastings resident, Arlene Ellen Hyde, 73 passed away Sunday, October 30, 2016 at her home.



Services will be Monday, November 21, 2016 at 10:30 am at the Apfel Funeral Home Chapel, Hastings, with Pastor Kent Rogers officiating. There will be no visitation. Graveside service will be at 2 pm at the Andrew Cemetery, Friend, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.apfelfuneralhome.com. Apfel Funeral Home, Hastings, is in charge of the arrangements.



Memorials may be given to the family.



Arlene was born May 16, 1943 to Carl A. and Bernice Ellen (Rohrer) Barney in Friend, NE.

She married Dwayne Hyde on July 7, 1960, Dwayne passed away in 1979. Arlene worked as a nurses aide for Good Samaritan Society and in housekeeping for Hastings College, she retired in 2005. She has resided in Hastings for over 50 years.



She enjoyed pets, especially her cats.



She is survived by cousins, Ron and Judy Lorenz, of Crete, NE, Norman and Lynda Sanders of Pine Bluff, WY, Roger and Dianne Rohrer of St. Paul, MN, Marcia and Steve Clevenger of Guthrie, OK and Dale and Gwen Rohrer, of Buda, Texas.



She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Dwayne.
