Audrey Lee Debauche

June 29, 1934 — April 3, 2016

Hastings resident, Audrey Lee (Ward) DeBauche, 81, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Perkins Pavilion, Good Samaritan Society, Hastings. Services are pending with the Apfel Funeral Home, Hastings.

Graveside service will be Friday, April 8, 2016 at 11 am at the Clay Center Cemetery, Clay Center with Pastor John Mueller officiating. Luncheon will be served following the graveside service at 1 pm. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.apfelfuneralhome.com. Apfel Funeral Home, Hastings, is in charge of the arrangements.

Memorials may be given to the family.

Audrey was born June 29, 1934 to Luther and Ann (Anmundson) Ward in Nashville, TN. She attended schools in Minnesota. She married John Benson Sr. on May 21, 1955 together they had seven children. They lived in Redwing, MN. John passed away on December 26, 1972. Later she married James A. DeBauche, they had one son. They made their home in California, Alaska and the Nebraska. James passed away on December 27, 2011. She had worked at Cambells Soups but spent most of her years as a waitress.

Audrey was an avid bingo player, making many friends at the Eagles Club. She loved to travel in the semi with her husband James. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, puzzles, football and nascar. She was a die hard Viking fan. Planning and attending family reunions was the highlight of Audreys life.

She was loved by her family and friends and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by eight children, John Benson Jr and Elizabeth Lifto both of Denver, CO, Linda (James) Escobia of Ogden, Utah, Debbie Darling of Hughson, CA, Mary (Robin) Hawkinson of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Jeffrey Benson of Hastings, Patricia (David) VanVliet of Fairbanks, Alaska and James Debauche Jr. of Hastings and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, John and James, one brother Billy Joe and one sister whom both passed away as children.
