and Elizabeth (Lueth) Wegner. Barbara attended District 1R School through eighth grade. She then went on to graduate from high school at Grand Island Senior High. After high school she worked for the Grand Island Independent. It was during that time she started attending Rural Youth activities and met her future husband, Richard Ogden. a Sunday School teacher and a 4-H leader. After her children were on their own, she got
involved with the Grand Island Kennel Club and Central Nebraska Humane Society. Barbara
enjoyed gardening, her monthly lunches with girlfriends, playing cards at family get togethers
and doting on her grandchildren.
