Betty J. Grummert

Hastings resident, Betty J. (Long) Grummert, 59, of 411 South Elm #106, died Sunday, March 5, 2006 at the Nebraska Medical Center; Omaha, NE. Services will be Thursday, March 9, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Christ, with the Rev. Ken Ellis officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Book signing will be Wednesday, March 8, 2006 from 9 AM to 9 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE family will be present from 6 PM to 8 PM. Mrs. Grummert was born November 26, 1946 to Tracy Eugene and Edna Mae Harger Long in Medford Oregon. She graduated from Hastings Senior High in 1965 she then graduated from a LPN Program in Kearney, NE in 1988. She was an LPN at Westminster Church Camp in Lexington, NE. She was married to Larry Wayne Grummert for 17 years before divorcing. She was a member of the Church of Christ Church, Hastings, NE. She is survived by her mother, Edna M. (Long) Dutcher of Hastings, NE, one son, Roger Wayne Grummert of Ohio, one daughter Sharon Struss of Hastings, NE, and 5 grandchildren, Devin and James Jr. Struss, Zachary Grummert, and Amanda Boomershine and Matthew Grummert, one sister Ruth Kempf of Ayr, NE. She is preceded in death by her father, Tracy Eugene Long. Memorials my be given to the family.
