Former Holstein resident, Betty J. Wengler, 63 passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at the Kenesaw Haven Home, Kenesaw, NE. Services will be Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 10:30 am at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Holstein, NE with Rev. Harold King officiating. Burial will be in the Holstein Cemetery, in Holstein, NE. Condolences may be given to www.brandwilson.com. Memorials may be given to the familys choice. Betty was born April 21, 1948 to Sidney and Emma (Helmberger) Harris in Hastings, NE. She attended Shelton High School in Shelton, NE. She married Richard Bombeck on June 20th, 1965, he passed away in 1993, she remarried to Steve Wengler, on July 29, 1995, he passed away in 2007. She owned and operated the CowTown Bar and Restaurant in Holstein, NE. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Holstein, NE and served on the Holstein Village Board. She is survived by one son, Jeff Bombeck and wife Lichelle of Shelton, NE, and one daughter Lynette Stubblefield of Kearney, NE. four grandchildren, Mathew, Michael, Trevor and Bailey Bombeck, one brother Robert Lewis and wife Jo of Grand Island, NE. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Richard and Steve, and one brother Gene Lewis
