Betty L. Bittfield

Kenesaw resident, Betty L. Bittfield, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Premier Estates of Kenesaw.



Services will be Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 2 PM at the United Methodist Church in Kenesaw with Rev. Dr. Lee Wigert officiating. Burial will be in the Kenesaw Cemetery, Kenesaw. Visitation will be Monday, February 8, 2016 from 5 pm to 8 pm at the Apfel Funeral Home in Kenesaw. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.apfelfuneralhome.com. Apfel Funeral Home, Kenesaw is in charge of the arrangements.



Betty was born on April 21, 1934 to Harry and Marie (Peet) Boltz in Wood River. She graduated from the Wood River High School in 1951. On September 25, 1954 she married Alton F. Bittfield. Alton died in 1991. She lived on the family farm until 2008.



She was a member of the Kenesaw Methodist Church and Ladies Auxiliary, and the Kenesaw Legion Auxiliary. Betty was a homemaker, she helped on the farm and raised four children.



She is survived by her children, Steven Bittfield of Kenesaw, Jody (Tim) Ash of Chugwater, WY, Brad (Nancy) Bittfield and Brian (Jamie) Bittfield all of Kenesaw, grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alton, grandson, Joseph Ash, daughter-in-law, Cheryl Bittfield and an infant brother.
