Beverly Arnold, 86, of Shelton, NE, died on April 13, 2024, at Mount Carmel Home in Kearney, NE. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, April 19, 2024, at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Shelton, NE with Reverend Don Pobanz officiating. Burial will follow at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5 to 7 P.M. at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Memorials are suggested to the Lutheran Hour or the Shelton Volunteer Fire and Rescue. Beverly Jolene was born on February 5, 1938, in Boelus, NE to Fred and Esther (Kruse) Wiess. She grew up in Boelus and attended Boelus High School graduating in 1955. After she attended West Nebraska General Hospital of Nursing in Scotts Bluff in 1958. She worked at the Grand Island VA Hospital until 1974 as well as the Shelton Public School Kitchen.
She was united in marriage to Gerald Arnold on August 24, 1974, at Trinity Lutheran in Grand Island, NE. After which the couple would live north of Shelton, NE. Beverly was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Shelton, NE and enjoyed gardening and her flowers.
Beverly is survived by her husband, Gerald Arnold; son, Fredrick (Teresa) Arnold of Kearney, NE; daughter, Beth (David) McCullough of Lexington, KY; grandchildren: Michael, Connor, and Logan; step-grandchildren: Wayne & Lakesha; sister, Marilyn Gabriel of Oklahoma; and sister-in-law, Ardyce Arnold of Kearney, NE; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by parents and siblings: Wayne (Alice) Wiess, Jerome (Lolita) Wiess, Gene (Blanche) Wiess, Betty Lee (Mason) Compton, Vernelle (Ray) Tomich; and brother-in-law, Wayne Arnold.
