Bey Phothisane

Bey Phothisane, 61, of Grand Island died February 3, 2022, at his home. Funeral service will be 9:00 AM February 12, 2022, at Apfel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4-7 Friday at Apfel Funeral Home.



Bey Phothisane was born on March 5, 1960, in Laos to Siengsack and Nouchanh Phothisane. In 1980 he came with his brother to the United States and lived in Fort Collins, CO. In 1987, he moved to Grand Island. He was united in marriage to Somphone Chantrilack in 1987. He worked for JB Swift for 32 years. Bey enjoyed singing Karaoke and fishing with his friends and family.



Bey is survived by his wife, Somphone; children: Sackey Phothisane and Kelly Phothisane both of Grand Island; grandchildren: Kaiden A. and Kalani R Hernandez; brother: Tom (Amy) Phothisane of Longmont, CO; sister: Somphone Phothisane of Grand Island; and many nieces and nephews.



He was preceded in death by his parents; aunt, Nouphanh; and cousin, Phillip Phothisane.
