Boun Chanthapatheth

Boun Chanthapatheth, 94, of Grand Island, died Monday, 24, 2014 at her daughters home in Omaha, Nebraska.

Services will be 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at the Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island with the Buddhist Monks officiating. Memorials are suggested to the family. Apfel Funeral Home is caring for the family.

Boun was born, January 2, 1920 in Vientiane, Laos. She was united in marriage to Kong Chanthapatheth. The couple made their home in Wichita, Kansas in 1981, later moving to Alda in 1983 and then to Grand Island in 1983.

Survivors of the immediate family include three sons, Keo and Kham of Grand Island, and Ngeune of Philadelphia, six daughters, Sompong, Noy and Khao of Grand Island, Pakong of British Columbia, Canada, Sanouang of Laos, and Noune of Kenneth Square, PA, five brothers and sisters, 32 grandchildren, 26 Great Grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Kong Chanthapatheth and a daughter, Loy.
