Catherine Kreinheder

Catherine Joan "Kitty" (Marchetti) Kreinheder, was born September 18, 1939 in Washington, D.C. to Phillip and Mary Marchetti. She went home to her Lord and Savior on December 25, 2012 at Pine Haven Care Center, Pine Island, MN, where she had been a resident since 2007. Graveside service will be Friday, December 28, 2012 at 3 pm at Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE. There will be no visitation. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Memorials may be given to the family. In 1958 she graduated from Cooliage High School in Washington, D.C. and went on to Business School. Later she worked for Gallant as a typist, Dr. Hillman as his secretary and then National Geographic Magazine. June 18,1964 she married Frederick Kreinheder in Washington, D.C. where he was a Criminal Investigator. He was born and raised in Hastings, Nebraska. They had one child, Cherie (Kreinheder) Smith. She then began a new career as a homemaker. In 1980 they moved to Columbia, MO. after her husband retired from the government. "Kitty" enjoyed walking fast, writing and sending cards, painting, Elvis music, and praying for people. She especially enjoyed her five grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Fred Kreinheder. Her daughter Cherie (Michael) Smith of Zumbro Falls, and her grandchildren; Ivy Matson (San Diego) William Matson(Rochester, MN) Sally Matson of Winona, Joseph and Lilly Matson home in Zumbro Falls. Also surviving is her sister Lucy (John) Blanch of Ijamsville, MD, her brother, Phillip (Barbara) Marchetti of Burtonsville, MD, and several nieces and nephews. Most will remember she performed "Small acts of Kindness with great Love!" Many people were blessed by her kind and generous nature. That love sprang forth from a deep faith in her Lord Jesus Christ.
