Chuck was born August 30, 1953 to Roy F. and Joann D. (Janousek) Laue, in Auburn, NE. He grew up in Arthur, Venango and in Harvard, NE; and received his education at Arthur and Venango Elementary and Harvard High School. He served in the United States Army from May 24, 1974 to May 23, 1980 during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1980. He was later employed by Hastings City Street Department. He was a past member of Harvard United Church of Christ, the VFW, and a past member of the Harvard Gun Club.

Chucks family was always very important to him. Although time with them was limited due to the physical distance between them, they were always in his heart. Even though he spent the last thirty years mainly confined to a wheel chair, he spread good cheer to everyone he met with his infectious smile and laugh. Now, he has exchanged his wheels for wings and is smiling with the Angels.

He is survived by his mother, Joann D. (Laue) Norvell and husband Bob E.; his brother Michael (Anita) Laue and children; Caleb(Jiyeong) Laue, Jock (Jenni) Laue, Erin (Wesley) Jones; Sisters, Constance (Richard) Johnson and children; Josh( Kari) Johnson, and Jordan Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy F. Laue, his sister Deborah, and grandparents Laue and Janousek.
