Clifford T. Frymire

November 9, 1925 — February 10, 2018

Clifford T. Frymire, 92, of Grand Island died Saturday, February 10, 2018, at CHI Health St. Francis in Grand Island.

Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 17th at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Grand Island with the Rev. Bill Pavuk officiating. Cremation will take place following the services. Inurnment of the ashes will be at a later date in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet family and friends on Saturday morning, 10:00 a.m. until service time.

Clifford Theodore Frymire was born November 9, 1925, at Scotia, Nebraska to Rea and Nellie E. (Brown) Frymire.

He grew up and received his education in Grand Island, graduating from Grand Island Senior High with the class of 1944.

Clifford entered the U.S. Navy, June 17, 1944 serving during World War II and was honorably discharged, July 5, 1946, at the rank of Seaman 1st Class.

He was united in marriage to Virginia L. Keller, June 8, 1947, at Hiawatha, Kansas. The couple made their home in Grand Island where he owned and operated Frymire Heating and Air Conditioning since 1961 retiring from the business in 2011. The couple celebrated 70 years of marriage.

He was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church for 70 years, serving on the church council. He was also a member of the Platt Duetsche, Saddle Club and American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Frymire of Grand Island; two daughters & sons-in-law, Cynthia & Dennis Schwieger of Omaha and Jana and Kevin Flannigan of Lawrence, KS; son and daughter in law, Randall and Judy Frymire of Kansas City, MO; eight grandchildren, Josh & Katie Schwieger, Melissa (Schwieger) & Matt Howey, Andrea Schwieger, Nathan & Marisa Frymire, Alison (Frymire) & Robert Hall, Taylor Frymire & fianc, Hilary Clark, Spencer Flannigan, Morgan Flannigan, eight great-grandchildren, and a sister, Lois Riess of Ft. Collins, CO and sister-in-law, Shirley Peard of Phillip, NE.

Clifford was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Delores (Frymire) Scherzberg.

Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.
