Dallas M. Frohling, 93, of Grand Island died Sunday, June 31, 2015, at the Tabitha Journey Home in Lincoln.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Friday at the Presbyterian Cemetery at Campbell, Nebraska.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 PM Thursday at the Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island.
Dallas Malvere Frohling was born February 23, 1922, at Campbell, Nebraska to Arend and Alice (Koch) Frohling. He grew up and received his education in Campbell and graduated from Campbell High School. He also graduated from the Milford Trade School in Auto Mechanics.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War Two. Dallas married Betty J. Bartels on December 6, 1947, at Campbell, Nebraska.
The couple made their home in Campbell, and later lived in Milford, Lincoln, and Kearney before settling in Grand Island where Dallas worked in housekeeping at the Grand Island Veterans Hospital.
Dallas enjoyed attending weekly auctions and auto races.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Teresa Frohling of Lincoln, NE,
Tom and Sarah Frohling of Loveland, Colorado, two daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis and Harold Dreher of Lincoln and Nancy and William Roberts of Mulvane, Kansas; 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Betty.
