Dana Joe Little

Dana Joe Little, 68, of Grand Island, died Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at CHI Health, St. Francis Medical Center.



Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island with the Rev. Bev Lanzandorf officiating. Inurnment will be in the Westlawn Memorial Park. Mr. Little has chosen cremation. Memorials are suggested to Family. Apfel Funeral Home is caring for the family.



Dana J. Little was born December 26, 1946 in Council Bluffs, Iowa the son of Harold Little and Dorothy Gravengaard. He grew up in Central City and graduating from Central City High School with the class of 1964. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Navy Seal. He was united in marriage to Theresa Lanzendorf and they were married for 32 years. They lived in Paxton, NE for 22 years, and in Grand Island for the last 3 years.



He was a member of Berean Church in North Platte, Nebraska.



His hobbies included racing, collecting and working on clocks, and working in his garage.



Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Theresa Little of Grand Island; daughters, ReAnna Little of Grand Island and Anne Marie Little of Omaha; 1 granddaughter, Hennessey Little of Grand Island; 1 sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Brian Armatys of Raton, New Mexico; mother-in-law, Joyce Lanzendorf of Grand Island; father-in-law and his wife, Don and Pansy Lanzendorf of Grand Island; 4 brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Bev Lanzendorf of Grand Island, Robert Lanzendorf of Oklahoma, George Lanzendorf of Grand Island, and Paul Lanzendorf of Oklahoma; 3 sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Barbara Stutzman of Clarinda, Iowa, Mary Nissley of Clarinda, Iowa, and Jennifer and Herman Woodall of Greenville, Texas; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.



He was preceded in death by his parents; and step-father, Harold Gravengaard.
