Daniel C. Moore, 66 of Stockham, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at his home. Memorial Services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island. To honor Daniels wishes, his body will be cremated. Memorials are suggested to the family. He was born on January 19, 1949 in Anne Arundel, Maryland to Robert Jr. and MaryLu Moore. He grew up in Florida and Michigan, then moved to Iowa, and finally settled in Nebraska 20 years ago. He entered the United States Army on June 27, 1975 and was honorably discharged on June 20, 1978. Daniel was a truck driver for over 40 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially boating, fishing, and camping, and he loved older cars. He also loved his 2 dogs. His greatest enjoyment in life was spending quality time with his family and friends. Even though he may have come across a bit mischievous, he had a soft heart for everybody and will be deeply missed by those who knew him. Survivors include his daughters, Mary Gordy of Iowa, Rhonda Moore of Stockham, Katrina Moore of Iowa, Danielle Moore Fourcloud, of North Carolina, and Barbara Moore, of Florida; 2 step-daughters; 4 step-sons; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; siblings, Bruce Moore, Walt Strickland, Kathy Netterville, Dwight Moore, Bobby Moore, and Mike Moore; and special friends, Nate and Meghan Adams of Stockham. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents; 2 former wives, Delilah Moore and Etha Mae Moore; and 2 grandsons.
