Darlene Joyce Whitefoot

Darlene Whitefoot, 85 of Grand Island passed away August 30, 2016. Funeral Service will be Wednesday September 7, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island with Rev. Kelly Karges officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 AM until time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials have been suggested to the family or Trinity United Methodist Church. Apfel Funeral Home is serving the family.

Darlene J. Whitefoot was born February 8, 1931 to August and Agnes (Hansen) Bremer at Boelus, NE. She was united in marriage to Richard Whitefoot on June 9, 1949 at St. Paul, NE.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Whitefoot of Grand Island; brother in law, Don Whitefoot of Grand Island; sisters in law, Dora Hefner of Grand Island and Venice Whitefoot of Columbus, NE; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great - nephews. She was welcomed into heaven by her parents; and her sister, Norma Lambert.
