David E. Hosier

David E. Hosier, 68 of Grand Island died Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Good Samaritan Society, Grand Island, NE.



Services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Apfel Funeral Home, Grand Island with Derek J. Apfel officiating. Burial will be in Cedarview Cemetery, Doniphan, Nebraska. Visitation hours will be 4-7 Monday, April 2, 2018 at Apfel Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date. Apfel Funeral Home is caring for the family.



David Edward Hosier was born October 1, 1949 in Aurora, NE the son of Donald & Inez (Druba) Hosier. He grew up in Giltner, graduating from Giltner High School with the class of 1967. He was united in marriage to Kathryn S. Kathy Torgerson on October 19, 1968. The couple made their home in Grand Island where he was employed by Chief Industries and Lewis Greenscape. His wife, Kathy preceded him in death, May 22, 2012.



Those left to cherish his memory include three daughters & sons-in-law, Jill & Brad Kroeger of Doniphan, NE., Brenda and Monty Martin of Arizona, and Paula & Jesse Queen of West Virginia, seven grandchildren, Andrew, Rebecca, Megan, Lexi, Kyler, Carter & Callista; brother and sister-in-law, Darrell and Judy Hosier of Giltner, sisters and brothers-in-law, June and James Bowers of Grand Island, and Cheri and William Roach of Grand Island.



He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Hosier.
