David M. Ritzdorf

David M. Ritzdorf, 76, of Grand Island passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, in Grand Island.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 27th at St. John’s Cemetery in Howells, NE. A meal will be provided at a local restaurant following the services. Apfel Funeral Home – Grand Island is assisting the family.

David was born to Carl J. and Vlasta M. (Hron) Ritzdorf on September 17, 1947.

After attending the Pontifical College Josephinum in Ohio and the College of St. Thomas in Minnesota, David began a 31-year career at the Roadway office in Minnesota. After retiring, he moved back to Nebraska to be closer to family.

David is survived by a sister, Kay Marik of Grand Island.

He was preceded in death by his parents; as sister, Sister Carla Ritzdorf, OSF, and brother-in-law, Frank L. Marik.
