Deanna Lynn Christner

Deanna Lynn (Harrold) Christner, 52, of Grand Island, passed away peacefully on Sunday January 26, 2025.

Deanna was born on May 26, 1972 to Delvin and Ramona Harrold in Broken Bow, Nebraska. Deanna graduated from Broken Bow in 1990.

Deanna was preceded in death by her parents Delvin and Ramona Harrold. She is survived by her children Ashly (Brett) Ducker of Lincoln, Brianna (Zach) Wisecup of Glenwood, Iowa, Brooke (Martin) Rascon of Cozad, AJ Christner of Elwood, Zayley Christner of Wayne, Zackeriah Christner of Elwood, her siblings Robert (Nancy) Harrold and Donna (Ronald) Stewart of Broken Bow, Dennis (Patty) Harrold of Del City, Oklahoma. Deanna had six grandchildren: Lilliauna, Layla, and Linnea Rascon, Aletheia and Abigail Wisecup, and Carson Ducker. Deanna also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Deanna loved taking her dog Nala on walks and snuggling. She was often found reading a book in her down time. Deanna was an active member in her church community at True North Church and was very active in her faith. She loved partaking in her grandchildren’s lives. She enjoyed singing and playing the piano.

Visitation will be January 29, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island. A celebration of life will be held in Broken Bow Cemetery at a later date.
