Deanne Elaine (Maciejewski) Carpenter, 65, of Hastings, Nebraska, died Thursday, July 8, 2021, at her home. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, July 15, 2021, at 10:30 AM at St. Josaphat Catholic Church in Loup City, Nebraska with Father Richard Piontkowski officiating. Memorials are suggested to Start Over Rover.
Deanne was born on September 18, 1955, in Loup City, Nebraska to James and Elaine Maciejewski. She grew up in Loup City and received her education at Loup City High School. She was united in marriage to Pat Peterson in 1975, in Loup City. After which the couple lived in Kearney, Nebraska where she was employed by St. Johns nursing home. They later divorced in 1984. She moved to Hastings in 2016, where she retired.
She enjoyed fishing, bowling, crime and ghost hunting shows, antiquing, crafts, swinging in the park, spending time with her grandkids, daughters and other family, going to concerts, music, traveling and a good, cold beer!
Deanne is survived by her mother, Elaine Maciejewski of Loup City, NE; daughters, Mandy (Peterson) and Ryan Schumm of Hastings, NE, and Melissa (Peterson) and Adam Long of Kearney, NE; grandchildren, Kale and Vivien Long and Braden and Braxton Schumm; brother, Gary and Donna Maciejewski of Pleasanton, NE; sisters, Donna Gancos of Kearney, NE, and Marcia and Steve Kuta of Omaha, NE; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her dad, James Maciejewski.
