Fremont resident, DeLores L. Robertson, 76, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2011 at Shalimar Gardens Assisted Living, in Fremont, NE. Service will be 3 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2011 at the Alberding-Wilson Funeral Home in Harvard, NE with the Rev. Dr. Lee Wigert officiating. Burial will be in the Harvard Cemetery, Harvard, NE. Visitation will be from 12 noon to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2011 with the family present from 6-8, at the Alberding-Wilson Funeral Home, Harvard, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. She died peacefully, in the loving arms of her family. Dee was a beloved wife, mother, grandma, sister, and friend. The daughter of Ray and Josie (Brehm) Slater, DeLores was born February 13, 1935 in Clay Center, NE. She grew up on her parents' farm and attended country schools in Clay County through 8th grade. She graduated from Harvard High School in 1954. Following high school, she worked for Debus Baking Company for four years. During this time, she married Arthur L. Robertson on June 20, 1955 in El Paso, TX. In 1958, they moved to Ashland, NE where Arthur taught for three years. After a year in Vermillion, SD, they settled in Norfolk, NE, where she was a top-notch homemaker. They lived in Norfolk for 45 years. They moved to Fremont in 2007 to be closer to their grandson. She worked as a reading aide at Washington Elementary School in Norfolk from 1971-1972. She was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church in Norfolk and was a member of the Rhoda Circle. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Arthur; two sons: Randy and his wife Dr. Julie Komarow of Covington, WA and Mark and his wife Lisa of Omaha; one daughter, Rene Bierbaum and her husband Neal of Fremont, CA; one grandson, Reece Robertson of Omaha; one sister, Frances Portenier of Hastings; and one brother, Ray Slater of Bladen, NE. She is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and four brothers. Memorials are suggested to First United Methodist Church in Norfolk, NE in support of the church nursery.
