Denis Jean Durham

Denis Durham, 69, of Hastings, NE died on August 17, 2023, at Good Samaritan Village Perkins Pavilion in Hastings, NE. Funeral service will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Oakley Christian Church in Oakley, KS with Pastor Jason Schmidt officiating. Burial will follow at Menlo Cemetery in Menlo, KS. Denis was born on September 9, 1953, in Atwood, KS to Robert Durham and Dorene Rogers. He grew up in Atwood and attended school at Atwood, Oakley, KS, and Englewood, CO. He met Patricia “Patti” Leavitt in the 1980s and the couple lived in Kansas until 2002 when they moved to Nebraska to be close to his brother and family.

Denis enjoyed going to garage sales, antique stores, and auctions. He loved his dogs.

He is survived by his brother, Raymond Durham of Hastings; sister-in-law, Melinda Durham of Hastings; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Patti; and great-nephew Daniel Gene Thompson.
