Dennis Gale Stromer

July 28, 1954 — January 19, 2018

Kenesaw resident, Dennis G. Stromer 63, passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 at Mary Lanning Healthcare.

Services will be Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 10:30am at the Juniata United Methodist Church with Rev. Kathy Uldrich officiating. Burial will be at the Kenesaw cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 5-7pm with family present at Apfel Funeral Home Kenesaw. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.apfelfuneralhome.com. Apfel Funeral Home of Kenesaw is in care of the family.

Memorials are to be designated to the family to decide at a later date.

Dennis was born July 28, 1954 to Paul and Marie (Scheueffele) Stromer in Hastings, Nebraska. He received his education at Juniata Elementary and later graduated from Adams Central High in 1972. Dennis was in the United States Army from May 1, 1973 until he was honorably discharged on April 26, 1976. He then joined the Army National Guard. He was united in marriage to JoAnn Bottolfsen on April 26, 1978. Dennis was the Facility Maintenance Specialist for the Hastings Regional Center for 41 years.

Dennis was a member of the American Legion of Hastings. He enjoyed cooking, shopping, and gardening. He also enjoyed taking care of his two dogs, R & R.

He is survived by his wife JoAnn of Kenesaw, 2 daughters; Teresa (Scott) Uden of Kenesaw, Shelly (Dan) McVey of Smithville, MO., 1 son; Randall Cleveland of Holstein, 4 brothers; Jacob (Darlene) Stromer of Lyons, NE, Don Stromer of Hastings, Richard Stromer of Juniata, Dean (Nannette) Stromer of Hastings, 2 sisters; Patricia (Richard) Anderson of Fairbury, NE, Donna Warburton of Juniata, Grandchildren; Evan Uden, Ashley Uden, Preston McVey, and Kurt Lewis; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dennis is also survived by 2 dogs; R&R kids Roxy and Ralph.

Dennis is proceded in death by his parents and 1 sister in law, Jewell Stromer.
