Harvard resident, Diane K. Harm, 55, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012 at the Harvard Rest Haven, Harvard, NE. Services will be Friday, January 13, 2012 at 2 pm at the Harvard United Church of Christ, in Harvard, NE with Pastor Dave Johnson officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be from 12 noon to 9 pm Thursday, Jan. 12th, with the family present from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Alberding-Wilson Funeral Home, Harvard, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Memorials may be given to the family. Diane was born on September 24, 1956 to Glenn G. and Gloria J. (Detwiler) Hamburger in Lynwood, CA. She was 3 when her family moved to Harvard, NE and lived on her grandparents farm. Later the farm was sold and the family moved into Harvard. She graduated from the Harvard High School in Harvard, NE and later attended UNK and Josephs Beauty School both in Kearney, NE. She was involved in many things growing up, 4H, playing and later coaching softball, and teaching Bible School. Diane owned a hair salon briefly in Harvard. She also loved animals. Diane was very musically inclined both vocally and instrumentally. She won numerous awards singing in high school. She married Kelly Monk Harm on April 24, 1982 in Harvard, NE, he passed away July 31, 2009. She attended the Harvard United Church of Christ and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary both in Harvard, NE. She is survived by 2 sons, Trevor and wife Amber of Lincoln, NE and Bart of Hastings, NE; and 1 daughter Jordan Harm also of Hastings. 1 brother, Tom Hamburger and companion Dea Demler, and 1 sister, Mari Beth Hamburger all of Harvard, NE. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Kelly Monk Harm.
