Former Kenesaw resident Donald Don Dale Edmondson, 92, passed away Monday, January 30, 2012 at the Tabitha Nursing Home, in Lincoln, NE. Services will be Friday, February 3, 2012 at 2 pm at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Kenesaw, NE with Pastor Verdell Schramm officiating. Burial will be in the Kenesaw Cemetery, Kenesaw, NE. Visitation will be Thursday, February 2, 2012 from 9 am to 8 pm at the Jackson-Wilson Funeral Home, Kenesaw, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Memorials may be given to the Calvary Lutheran Church in Lincoln, NE or the Journey House at Tabitha in Lincoln, NE. Don was born December 10, 1919 to Charles and Rebecca (Carney) Edmondson in Kenesaw, NE. He was confirmed into the Lutheran faith at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Kenesaw, NE. He was united in marriage July 1, 1941 to Nola Einspahr. He served in the United States Army enlisting in November of 1941; he served in the European Theater as a radio operator with the Third Armored Division. He was honorably discharged from his service in October 1945. After his service he moved his family to Lincoln, NE in 1955. He was salesman at Montgomery Wards until retiring in 1983. He was a member of the Calvary Lutheran Church in Lincoln, NE. He is survived by his wife Nola, of Lincoln, NE, two daughters, Jeanne Baughman and husband Dennis of Lincoln, NE, and Cyndie Damke Reita and husband Tim of Omaha, NE, 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, one sister, Margaretha Mears of El Cajon, CA, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant son, Larry Allen, six sisters and two brothers.
