Donna G. Goedert

Hastings resident, Donna G. Goedert, 80 passed away Friday, October 1, 2010 at her home. Rosary will be Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 7:30 PM and the Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 10:30 AM both at the St. Michaels Catholic Church, Hastings, NE with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Hastings, NE. Visitation will be Monday, October 4, 2010 from 5 PM to 9 PM and Tuesday, October 5, 2010 from 9 AM to 5 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE and one hour prior to service time at the church. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Donna was born January 7, 1930 to Lester and Margaret (Anderson) Burge in Bladen, NE. She graduated from Ayr High School in Ayr, NE. She married Paul Goedert on January 17, 1951, Paul passed away March 26, 2005. She was a full time wife and mother. She raised 7 children. She enjoyed following her childrens and grandchildrens activities throughout the years. In her later years coffee at Allens, eating out and great grandchildren filled her days. She is survived by four daughters, Paula Johnson, Jody Johnson, Kim Anderson and husband Mike, and Jamie Schmidt and husband Scott all of Hastings, NE, two sons, Joe Goedert and wife Janell of Ottawa, KS, and Tom Goedert and wife Becky of Hastings, NE. two sisters, Wanda Wright and husband Lee and Shirley Allen all of Blue Hill, NE, two brothers, Ron Burge of Cardington, OH and Calvin Burge and wife Ardyce of Blue Hill, NE. one brother in law, DuWayne Goedert and wife Leta of Twin Falls, ID, 19 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul, one son, Ed and one sister Marcelene Coutts. In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established.
