Hastings resident, Donna Marie Juggert, 79 died Thursday, May 21, 2009 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings, NE. Services will be Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at 10:30 AM at the First St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Hastings, NE with Rev. Joel Remmers officiating. Burial will be in the Parkview Cemetery; Hastings, NE. Visitation will be Monday, May 25, 2009 from 12 noon to 9 PM with the family present from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE and one hour prior to service time at the church. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Donna was born August 10, 1929 to William and Marie (Rabbe) Schlachter in Glenvil, NE. Her family moved to Hastings and she graduated from Hastings High School in 1947. She married Reuben Juggert, September 5, 1948; he died July 31, 2007. She was a secretary for the Adams County Veterans Office, Hastings, NE for 17 years. She retired in 1991. She lived in Hastings most of her life. She was a member of the First St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Hastings, NE. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and was a past president there. She was a member of the Adams County Salon #486 of 8/40. She was active in the Hastings High School Class of 1947 reunions. She is survived by daughter Connie McFadden and husband Richard of Loup City, NE and son, Jerry Juggert and wife Vicky of Omaha, NE. 4 grandchildren, Doug McFadden and wife Andrea of Lincoln, NE, Christa Oliva and husband Josh of Denver, CO, Jenny Kolar and husband Jeremy of Omaha, NE and Brent Juggert of Omaha, NE. 6 Great Grandchildren, Kailee, Jaycee and Kynzee McFadden of Lincoln, NE, Madelyn and Reese Kolar of Omaha, NE and Ava Oliva of Denver, CO 4 sisters, Bernice Nelson of Corinth, TX, Vera Shuck of Edgar, NE, Merna Kinnison, of Lincoln NE, and Lylis Stephenson of Carmichael, CA. 2 brothers, Melvin Schlachter of Grand Island, NE, and Harlan Schlachter of Hansen, NE. Many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Reuben, and a great grandson, Austyn McFadden. A memorial will be established.
