Donna R. Shehein

Donna R. Shehein, 81, of Grand Island, died December 4th, 2018 at Good Samaritan Society-Grand Island Village.



Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday December 10, 2018 at Apfel Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend David Clark officiating. Burial will in Cedarview Cemetery, Doniphan, NE. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday December 9, 2018 at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the family.



Donna was born on May 24, 1937 in Grand Island, NE, the daughter of Kenneth and Mary (Hancock) Carpenter. She grew up in the area and received her education from Grand Island Public Schools. On March 25, 1974, she was united in marriage to Earl Lavern Shehein in Grand Island. The couple resided in Doniphan, and she owned and operated her business, Donna’s Fashions in downtown Grand Island.



She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time playing bingo, cards, and going on gambling trips.



Survivors include her grandson, Jonathan Shehein and great-granddaughter, Olivia.



Donna was preceded in death by her parents, husband Earl, and her daughter Denise.
