Donna Wilson

Donna (Kimle) Wilson, age 73 of Hastings, passed away Friday, July 18, 2014 at Mary Lanning Health Care in Hastings.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Kenesaw with Reverend Paul Duffy officiating. Burial will be in the Kenesaw Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the Apfel Funeral Home in Kenesaw with the family present from 7:00 8:00 p.m. A memorial has been established in Donnas memory to the Nebraska Kidney Foundation. Donna was born July 24, 1940 in Kenesaw, the daughter of Martin and Eva (Einspahr) Kimle. She attended St. Pauls Parochial School in Kenesaw and graduated from the Kenesaw High School in 1958 before attending Kearney State College.

Donna was employed for various banks over her fifty year career including Denver US National Bank, National Bank of Commerce, City National Bank and Heritage Bank. After retiring she enjoyed activities at the YMCA and having coffee and playing cards with friends. She was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Kenesaw and was a former Sunday School helper.

She married Murray Wilson, Sr. on February 14, 1981. He preceded her in death on October 3, 1991.

Donna loved all her nieces and nephews and remembered all of their special occasions. She especially loved Christmas and everyone always received a gift from her. She was a very special sister and aunt.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Eva Kimle, her husband, Murray Wilson, Sr., a brother, Larry a sister, Shirley and a nephew, Matthew.

Survivors include one sister, Marjorie (Richard) Hollister of Hastings; one brother, David (Kathy) Kimle of Kenesaw; eleven nieces and nephews, Scott (Rita) Hollister, Craig (Nancy) Hollister, Becky (Jeff) Krumm, Kevin (Patti) Kimle, Dana Kimle, Mikki (Dave) Schoone, Dan (Michele) Kimle, Trisha (Adrian) Waugh, Sara (Paul) Linde, Kelsy Kimle and Kole Kimle; twenty grand nieces and nephews; three step children, Murray, Jr., Robert and Cnydie Wilson and their families.
