Former Kenesaw resident, Dora I. Rockefeller, 87, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at the Homestead assisted living, in Hastings, NE. Services will be Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 2 pm at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Kenesaw, NE with Rev. Paul Duffy officiating. Burial will be in the Kenesaw Cemetery, Kenesaw, NE. Visitation will be Friday, April 27, 2012 from 9 am to 8 pm at the Jackson-Wilson Funeral Home, Kenesaw, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Memorials may be given to the St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Kenesaw, NE or the American Bible Society. Dora was born on October 11, 1924, on the family farm south of Shelton, NE to Fred and Mary (Kroll) Stade. She was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Kenesaw, NE. She attended the Denman School grades 1-10 and graduated from the Shelton Public High School. On March 25, 1951 she married Bernard Rockefeller they were blessed with two children Linda and Lee. She was a member of the St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Kenesaw, NE and was an active member of the Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the Kenesaw Sr. Citizen group. She is survived by one son, Lee Rockefeller and wife Pam of Kenesaw, NE, and two grandchildren, Whitney Rockefeller of Bellevue, NE and Chase Rockefeller of Kenesaw, NE, one sister, Fern Augustin of Kenesaw, NE and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bernard, October 26, 1982, her daughter Linda, September 12, 1963, one brother, Leonard Stade, and an infant grandson, Clayton Rockefeller.
