Doris D. Roth

Hastings resident, Doris D. Roth, 85, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Perkins Pavilion, Good Samaritan Society, Hastings-Village. Services will be Saturday, May 1, 2010, at 10:00 Am at the First St. Pauls Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Joel Remmers officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE. Visitation will be Friday, April 30, 2010 from 9 AM to 9 PM with the family present from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Doris was born June 14, 1924 to Ralph and Dorathy (Flessner) VanBoening in Rosemont, NE. She graduated from the Glenvil High School, Glenvil, NE. She married John L. Jack Roth on November 22, 1952 in Hastings, NE; he passed away September 15, 1995. She worked and retired from the Hastings Regional Center as a psyche tech. She was a member of the First St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Hastings, NE. She was a member of the Hastings BPO Does #112. She also volunteered for the Red Cross, Good Samaritan Society and at the First St. Pauls Lutheran Church. Doris was active in her church and loved to knit and crochet. She is survived by 1 daughter, Dorine Roth, of Omaha, NE, 2 sons DeWayne Roth and wife Linda of Lincoln, NE, and Dwight Roth and wife Tina of Hastings, NE. 3 Grandchildren and 3 Great grandchildren, and 1 brother, Rev. Grant Van Boening and wife Darlene of Omaha, NE. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack, her parents, 1 son Dennis and 2 brothers. Memorials may be given to the family.
