Doris Eileen Beman

Hastings resident, Doris Eileen Beman, 67, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2010 at her home. Services will be Thursday, July 1, 2010 at 10:30 AM at the Grace United Methodist Church, Hastings, NE with the Rev. Dr. Lee Wigert officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Hastings, NE. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 30, 2010 from 9 AM to 9 PM with the family present from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Eileen was born January 31, 1943 to Roy B. and Laura (Langenberg) Johnson in Omaha, NE. She grew up in Halsey, NE then moved to Valentine, NE. She married Douglas V. Beman on June 11, 1961 at the Methodist Church in Valentine, NE, from this union 3 children were born, 1 son, Steven and 2 daughters, Lynda and Michelle. Eileen lived her adult life in Alamosa, CO, Show Lo, AZ and Hastings, NE. She has lived in Hastings, NE since 1971. She worked in banking many years. She is survived by, her husband Doug of Hastings, NE, 1 son, Steven Beman and wife Bonnie of Ayr, NE, and 2 daughters, Lynda VanLaningham and husband Rudy of Doniphan, NE, and Michelle Abels and husband Jason of Ravenna, NE, . 5 grandchildren, Jonathan JD and Alyssa Beman, Michael VanLaningham, and Braden and Joshua Abels, 1 brother Roy Rodger Johnson and wife Rennie of Oklahoma City, OK, 1 half-brother, Charles E. Johnson of Holdrege, NE, and 1 sister-in-law, Babs Johnson of Rosenberg, TX, and numerous relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother, Lloyd, whom she was very close to. Memorials may be given to the Grace United Methodist Church or the Mary Lanning Hospice, both in Hastings, NE.
