Dr. Wesley B. Anderson, 83, died Friday, September 7, 2007 at Laguna Hills, California. Services will be Saturday, September 15, 2007 at 10:30 AM at the Brand-Wilson Chapel, Hastings, NE with the Rev. Gerald Schwab officiating also Masonic rites by Mid-West Lodge #317, William D. Morrow, Orator. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Hastings, NE with military rites by local veterans organizations. Visitation will be Friday, September 14, 2007 12 Noon to 9 PM, at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Hastings, NE and one hour prior to the services Saturday. Condolences may be sent to the www.brandwilson.com. Dr. Anderson was born April 4, 1924 to Elef and Edelle (Moen) Anderson in Fargo, ND. He graduated from high school in Fargo, ND. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the 29th infantry division he was in the invasion of Normandy he was awarded the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, combat Infantrymans Badge, good conduct metal, European African Middle Eastern theater service ribbon, 4 over seas service bars and 3 Battle Stars. He was wounded in the European Theater July 14, 1944. He served in the battles and campaigns of Normandy, Rhineland and Central Europe. He married Millie Lesniewski, December 26, 1948. He attended the North Dakota State College; he then attended the Illinois College of Optometry graduating in 1949. He started his practice in Hastings, in 1951 retiring in 1992 and moved to Green Valley, Arizona. He was a member of the Mid-West Masonic Lodge # 317. He is survived by his wife, Millie, of Green Valley, AZ, 3 sons, Philip of Spring, TX, Michael of Omaha, NE, and Ronald of Dove Canyon, CA, 6 Grandchildren, 2 Step-Grandchildren, 8 Great grandchildren and 1 Step-Great-Grandchild. 1 brother, William Anderson of Eureka, CA.
