Edward Duane Rainey

Hastings resident, Edward Duane Rainey, 60 of 739 N. Lincoln, Apt, B, died, Saturday, April 8, 2006 at his home. Services will be Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at 10:00 AM at the St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, with the Father Larry Gyhra officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Hamburg, Iowa. Mr. Rainey was born, June 8, 1945, to Edward J. and Maggie (Jennings) Rainey in Glenwood, Iowa. He graduated from High School in Percival, Iowa. He was in the Korean conflict. He married Gelinda Howell, June 1, 1964 in Sidney, Iowa, they later divorced. He was a painting contractor in the Crete area, for many years and took early retirement. He was a catholic. He is survived by 1 daughter, Belinda DeLaGarza and 1 son, Bill Rainey both of Crete, NE, 7 Grandchildren, and 1 Great Grandson. 2 brothers, Earl of Nebraska City, NE and Stevie of Hamburg, Iowa, 1 sister Wava Shipley of Percival, Iowa. He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Kenneth Rainey, and 1 sister, Pauline Miller. Memorials may be given to the Adams County Cancer Society
