Eedee Marie Gregory

Eedee Marie Gregory, 42, of Grand Island, NE died on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at her home after a courageous battle with liposarcoma. Funeral Services will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Apfel Funeral Home with Pastor Carl Eliason officiating. Burial will follow in the Grand Island City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. Tuesday at Apfel Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date. Eedee was born on May 23, 1981, at Hastings, NE to Thomas Fischer and Dixie (Wright) Fischer. She grew up in Hastings and attended Hastings Public Schools. Eedee was married to David Shaffer and from this marriage her daughter Lyndee Shaffer was born. While living in Hastings she worked at Burger King where she would meet her now husband, Billy. She was united in marriage to Billy Gregory on September 23, 2017, at Grand Island, NE. After which the couple resided in Grand Island, and she was employed by McCain Foods. Eedee was baptized and confirmed in the Faith Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband, Billy Gregory; daughter, Lyndee Shaffer (Cesar Lopez); grandson, Celio Lopez; a granddaughter on the way; her parents; brother, Will (John) Hultman; sisters: Hidee (Isaias) Martinez, Dawna (Brad) Whitcomb; and sister/niece Koral Fischer.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her sister, Dawna (Brad) Whitcomb’s unborn child.
