Former Hastings resident, Eileen D. Becker, 88, died Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at Sandy Ridge Care Center, Milton, Florida. Services will be Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at 2 PM at the Brand-Wilson Chapel, Hastings, NE with Rev. Barry Rempp officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 16, 2009 from 5 PM to 9 PM and Wednesday, June 17, 2009 from 9 AM up till service time at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Eileen was born Dec 22, 1920 to Kelly and Violet (Reichstein) Masters in Hastings, NE. She graduated from Hastings Senior High in 1938. She married Charles Becker in 1962. She was a sales clerk for the JM McDonalds Clothing Store in Hastings, NE. She moved to Florida in 2003 but had lived in Hastings most of her life. She was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ, the Pythian Sisters and the Eagles Auxiliary all in Hastings, NE. She is survived by a son Maynard Charles Chuck Porth of Milton, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Charles. A memorial will be established.
