At Our Alberding-Wilson Funeral Home, location, Harvard, NE. Harvard resident, Einer B. Erickson, 96, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2009 at the Harvard Rest Haven, Harvard, NE. Services will be Thursday, November 19, 2009 at 11 AM at the Harvard United Methodist Church, Harvard, NE with Rev. Dean Joy officiating. Burial will be in the Harvard Cemetery, Harvard, NE. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 18, 2009 from 12 noon to 9 PM at the Alberding-Wilson Funeral Home, Harvard, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Einer was born November 22, 1912 to Gust and Mary (Dalgren) Erickson on the family farm west of Saronville, NE. He was baptized in infancy at the Saronville Methodist Church in Saronville, NE. He attended public school in Saronville through the 10th grade and graduated from the Harvard High School in 1929. On October 21, 1933 he married Ruby Marie Keller in Mankato, Kansas. To this union were born 2 sons. They resided on a farm southeast of Harvard until July of 1975; they then retired and moved into the city Harvard. Einer was a member of the Saronville Methodist Church until they closed in 1992, he then joined the First Methodist Church in Harvard, he was a faithful member of his church and was active in and served on many facets of the church. He served on the Board of Directors of the Farmers Credit Association in Saronville, NE, and was a member of the Board of Directors for the Harvard Housing Authority, Harvard, NE. He was a member of the Harvard Masonic Lodge #44, the Eastern Star Lodge #70, both in Harvard, NE. He is survived by 2 sons, Loyle Erickson of Webber, KS, and Gary Erickson of Lincoln, NE, 7 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 70 years, Ruby Marie (Keller) Erickson, his parents, 3 brothers, Raymond, Wenzel, and Reuben, 4 sisters, Effie Schultz, Hazel Johnson, Francis Johnson, and Bernice Hohnstein, 2 grandsons, Joseph Erickson and Rourk Erickson. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
