Hastings resident, Elaine M. Pohlmeier, 84, passed away Friday, September 24, 2010 at Perkins Pavilion, Good Samaritan Society, Hastings Village. Rosary will be Monday, September 27, 2010 at 7 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, Hastings, NE with Father Joseph Walsh officiating. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 10 AM at the St. Cecilias Catholic Church in Hastings, NE with Father Joseph Walsh officiating. Burial will be in the Parkview Cemetery, NE. Visitation will be Sunday, September 26, 2010 from 12 noon to 9 PM and Monday from 9 AM to 7 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home and one hour prior to service time at the church. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Elaine was born April 19, 1926 to Joseph J. and Regina (Hoffman) Trausch in Roseland, NE. She graduated from the Roseland High School, Roseland, NE. She married Herbert P. Phillips they had five children, she later married Vincent Pohlmeier, he passed away September 3, 2005. She worked at the Hastings Regional Center for 13 years retiring from there in 1982. She is survived by three daughters, Jolene Kline and husband Norman of Lenexa, KS, Brenda Janda and husband Robert of Lawrence, NE, and Julie Michelson and husband Robert of Eau Claire, WI, two sons, Dan Phillips and wife Carol of Hastings, NE, and Don Phillips and wife Mary of Lincoln, NE, five step-daughters, Diane Phillips , Debra Buccholz and husband Dave, and Phyllis Ziemba all of Hastings, NE, Linda Link and husband Craig of Kearney, NE, and Bonnie Engelhardt and husband Mike of Kenesaw, NE, and one step-son, Wayne Pohlmeier, 13 grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren, two sisters, Jean Laux of Lincoln, NE and Dianne Friend and husband Pat of Fort Worth, TX, and one brother, Jim Trausch and wife Bridget of Sun City, CA, and cousin/sister, Marlene Ritz and husband Don of Riverside, CA and numerous, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two husbands Herbert Phillips and Vincent Pohlmeier. Memorials may be given to the St. Cecilias Catholic Church, or the Good Samaritan Village both of Hastings, NE.
