Eleanor L. Moderson

Eleanor L. Moderson, 97 of Grand Island, died Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Tiffany Square Care Center in Grand Island. Services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island. Visitation will be from 4- 7 P.M. Monday and 1 hr. prior to services on Tuesday at Apfel Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Heartland Lutheran School in lieu of flowers. Eleanor was born on October 14, 1914 to Erick and Mable (Greb) Ekberg in Marquette, Nebraska. She was united in marriage to Willard Bill Moderson on October 23, 1943. Survivors include numerous cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill; and sister, Dorothy.
