Elizabeth "Beth" Ochsner

August 15, 1927 — June 10, 2015

Former Hastings resident, Elizabeth Beth Ochsner, 87, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Bethany Home Lutheran Home in Minden.



Services will be Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 2 pm at the First United Methodist Church, Hastings with Pastor Greg Lindenberger officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Hastings. Visitation will be Friday, June 12, 2015 from 4 to 7 pm at the Apfel Funeral Home Chapel, Hastings. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.apfelfuneralhome.com. Apfel Funeral Home, Hastings is in charge of the arrangements.



Memorials may be given to the Bethany Lutheran Home in Minden, NE.



Beth was born August 15, 1927 to Emmet and Lois (McLaughlin) Boggs in Hastings. She graduated from the Trumbull High School in May of 1945. She married Vaughn Ochsner on September 16, 1950, Vaughn passed away September 16, 2009. Beth worked as the Deputy County Assessor at the Adams County Courthouse from May 1948 till retiring in December of 1992.



She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hastings, and helped with Sunday School. She was also a member of Circle Group 5, the Shrine Camping Group and a former member of the Eastern Star. Beth enjoyed playing cards.



She is survived by her son, Doug Ochsner and wife Lu of Butte, Montana, three daughters, Cheryl Claussen and husband John of Phillips, NE, Leigh Ann Ochsner of Cape Coral, FL and Lynn Tank and husband Bob of Minden, NE, 8 grandchildren, Brandie Kile, Brenda Bernard, Kipp Ochsner, Jocelyn Ochsner, Kurt Claussen, Kreg Claussen, Mikayla Wengler and Katelyn Tank, 5 great grandchildren, Joshua, Jordan and Jaden Johnson and Curtis and Katrina Kyle.



She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Vaughn, one brother Alvin Boggs, one sister, Vivian Phelps and special friend, Glen Lampiear.
