Emma Rodriguez Guerrero, 77, of Wood River passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016 at CHI St. Francis in Grand Island. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, December 9, 2016 at 10:30 AM at St. Marys Catholic Church in Wood River with Fr. Jorge Canela as celebrant. Inurnment will be at a later date. Visitation will be on Thursday from 3 until 7 PM with a 5 PM Vigil Service at Apfel Funeral Home in Wood River. Apfel Funeral Home is serving the family.

Emma Rodriguez Guerrero was born August 11, 1939 to Natalio Rodriguez and Pomposa Garcia at Jerecuaro Guanajuanto, Mexico. She grew up in Ojo de Agua de Hendoza, Mexico. Survivors include her husband, Leopoldo Guerrero; sons, Ramon Guerrero; Gerardo Guerrero; Miguel Guerrero; and Leopoldo Guerrero; daughters, Celia Guerrero-Rodriguez; and Maria del Refugio Guerrero-Rodriguez; thirty grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren; and a brother, Alfonso Rodriguez.
