Hastings resident, Ernesto Adalid Nava, 63 passed away Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Bryan LGH Hospital, in Lincoln, NE. Services will be Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 7 pm at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, Hastings, NE. Burial will be at a later date in Acapulco, Mexico. Visitation will be Thursday, February 2, 2012 from 5 pm to 9 pm and Friday, February 3, 2012 from 5 pm to 9 pm at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com By his side at the time of his death was his daughter Yuri, his nephew Rafael Vazquez, In addition, his close friends. He was born February 22, 1949 in the state of Guerrero. His parents were Ezequiel Nava and Gabioa Arcos. He studied music in the National de Bellas Artes Institute; Ernesto was a teacher of music. This was his passion. He built a group of northern music called Halcones de Ciudad Bravo. He came to the United States to work in 1990, looking for a better future for his family. He lived and worked in Lexington NE where he was known as El Profe because of the passion to play the guitar and his sense of humor. He played and sang too many people. He moved to Hastings where he found work and he was known for the human qualities that he had, and for his music. He built and was part of various groups of music for local churches, where he left his seed of a good memory. Rest in peace
