Ervin F. Blomenkamp

Hastings resident, Ervin F. Blomenkamp, 94, of 910 E. Assumption Rd, died Monday, March 13, 2006 at the Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital; Hastings, NE. Services will be Friday, March 17, 2006 at 10:30 AM at the First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hastings, NE with the Rev. Joel Remmers officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 15, 2006 from 8 AM to 9 PM and Thursday, March 16, 2006 from 8 AM to 9 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home and up till service time at the church. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Mr. Blomenkamp was born, January 27, 1912 to Fred and Elizabeth (Stromer) Blomenkamp in Hastings, NE. He married Ann Krepcik May 10, 1936 at the First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hastings, NE. He co-owned B and B Transfer Trucking Co. and farmed all his life on the family farm with his brother Clarence. They had owned their family farm for over 100 years. He and his brother Clarence received the Nebraska Pioneer Farm Award from The Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben and ConAgra. He was a member of the First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hastings, NE, and he was a lifetime member of the Eagles Aerie #592 and was a Golden Eagle for many years. He is survived by his wife Ann and one sister Bernice Smith of Hastings, NE. And one nephew Byron Blomenkamp of Turlock, CA. He is preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Clarence and John. Memorials may be given to the First St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
