Eugene E. Myers

Former Harvard resident, Eugene E. Myers, 63, died February 6, 2006 at the Omaha Veterans Hospital, Omaha, NE. Services will be Thursday, February 9, 2006 at 10:00 AM at the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hastings, NE, with the Rev. Paul Hirsch officiating. Burial will be at the West Lawn Cemetery, Grand Island; NE. Visitation will be, Wednesday, February 8, 2006 from 9 AM to 9 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE and one hour prior to service time at the church. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Mr. Myers was born May 18, 1942 to Karl Henry Myers and Beulah May Johnson, in Noble, Illinois. He was in the Army Reserves he was stationed in Vietnam, Germany and Panama and then the United States later he was in the Retired Reserves till 2002. He lived in Texas and did factory work until retiring in 1995 then He moved to Central City, NE and then to Harvard, NE in 2004. He was admitted to the Omaha Vets Hospital 14 months ago and never returned home. He is survived by 2 sons, David and Robert Myers and 1 daughter, Anita Wolff all of Fort Worth, Texas, 5 grandchildren, 4 sisters, Eula Nance of Burlson, Texas, Ruth Hilligas of Inland, NE, Karen Hilligas of Grand Island, NE and Janet Ladroza of Las Vegas, NV, 4 brothers, Randy Myers of Beaver Creek, Ohio, Darrel of Grand Island, NE, Paul of White Hall, Pennsylvania, and Gary of Flora, Illinois. He is preceded in death by his parents. A memorial will be established.
