Hastings resident, Fawna Mae (Curtis) Frank, 92, passed away Friday, August 6, 2010 at the College View Assisted Living, Hastings, NE. Services will be Monday, August 9, 2010 at 10 AM at the First United Methodist Church, Hastings, NE with the Pastor Alan Davis officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE. Visitation will be Sunday, August 8, 2010 from 12 noon to 9 PM with family present from 7 PM to 8:30 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Fawna was born May 13, 1918 to C.I. and Jessie (Millen) Magee in Seneca, KS. She moved to Hastings with her family, in 1924. She graduated from Hastings High in 1936. She married Walter Curtis in 1939; from this union 3 children were born. Fawna was a home maker during her early years and was active in the PTA and Mother Singers. Walter passed away in April of 1968. Fawna married Robert Frank on June 14, 1974 at the First United Methodist Church in Hastings, NE. She was employed by the Rader Insurance Company for 20 years, retiring in 1982. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hastings, NE for 80 year. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Railroad Lodge, the Hastings Legion Auxiliary, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and a past member of the Lioness International, the Harmony Extension Club, Phi Sigma Alpha Sorority and the YWCA, all in Hastings, NE. She is survived by her husband Robert Frank, of Hastings, NE, two sons, Bill Curtis and wife Linda of Topeka, KS, and Bob Curtis of Kenesaw, NE, one daughter, Connie Jetter and husband Don of Greeley CO and one step-daughter, Barbara Frank of Lincoln, NE, three granddaughters, Dianna Shinn and husband Shannon, Deborah Ramberg and husband Dan, and Sheri Dvorak and husband Josef, and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Walter and brother Chuck Bud Magee. Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Churchs Second Century Project or the Hastings College.
