Faye A. Peterson

Faye A. (Morrow) Peterson, 91 of Grand Island, passed away June 9, 2016. A Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, June 17, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island with Rev. Del Roper officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorials have been suggested to the Central Nebraska Humane Society. Apfel Funeral Home is serving the family.

Faye Arlene (Morrow) Peterson was born December 26, 1924 to Silas and Edith (Madison) Morrow near Horace Township, Nebraska. Faye was a loving mother to her children, Victory Peterson of Cedar Rapids, IA; Zelma Jane Botter of Woodland, WA; Barbara Ann Kreider (Frederick) of Grand Island and Clifton Peterson of Grand Island. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Pearl in 1994; brother Everett Morrow; and two sisters, Fern Parker and Opal Bosselman.

Faye was a grandmother to eleven children; great-grandmother to ten children and great-great-grandmother to three children; she was also a dedicated aunt to the children of her late siblings. Our mother was blessed by a generous and kindly nature and a fun sense of humor. She will be missed by all who knew her. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Brenda Cummings for the tender loving care extended to our mother in her last months.
